Vtg Marathon Motor Oil

For your consideration is this 1930’s-40’s Marathon lid which I believe would have been on an oil drum, maybe rocker oil can? Not entirely sure. It’s in great shape overall for its age, the original middle score was not broken. It has a great display presence!
