Vintage Original Signed Framed Tall Ship Oceanscape Marine Nautical Oil

Gorgeous vintage oil painting, depicting a tall ship at anchor, full sails deployed under hazy blue grey skies, with mornings mists and shadows swept in whorls around the riggings, and sea gulls flying in the foreground. Perfect for amateurs of nautical paintings. Hallmarks: Unknown artist / signature.  Reads like "W. Quillian" or " W. Ouillais" Dimensions: The painting with the frame measures 20 1/4" tall by 16 1/4" wide with an image field of 15 1/2" high and 11 1/2" wide. Condition: The painting is in excellent vintage condition (minimal signs of wear), but there is some damage to the frame and staining to the matting (see close-up pictures)
