Vintage Antique Persian Copper Vessel Canteen Oil Lamp with Hand Wrought Chain.
I bought this at an estate sale many years ago. I do not know the history but it appears to be a canteen or possibly an oil lamp. There is some soot inside the vessel which could indicate it was used as a lamp or for transporting coals.
The vessel is 12 inches tall not including the chain and about 6 inches wide. Weighs a little over 4 pounds.
Beautifully decorated with a deer or antelope motif.
I have not cleaned it so selling it as is.
