INTERLUDE PERFUMED COLOGNE by FRANCES DENNEY
This perfume is somewhat heady upon first application, then something wonderful happens ... it settles down to the beautiful piquant bouquet of the heart notes, shortly to be followed by blending with the base notes, which includes my all time favorite, MUSK (of course).
The label has very noticeable scratching, but is not at all torn. This is a distinct 1960's beveled glass bottle with a bakelite top, and is in excellent condition. Very few bottles of the original INTERLUDE ,
made in Philadelphia, PA are still available, making this a collectors item. So grab it up, dab it on, allow the notes to settle and transport yourself back to a finer, more elegant era in time. These fragrances have been tested (when feasible) for freshness and authenticity. These fragrances have been purchased from various venues – Estate sales, garage sales, retail store back stock rooms, reputable online sites & wholesalers etc. Sometimes there will be some silty residue, or a perceived "old" smell to some vintage fragrances. However, these rarely affect the fragrance once the silage has had time to settle on your skin. I try to test all of my vintage fragrances, and will include any such variances in my description.
Many quality vintage perfumes contain natural ingredients, such as ambergris, musk oil, oakmoss, civet oil, etc., no longer available or allowed for perfumers to include in their formulations. The unattainability of these ingredients, which give fragrances their unique & splendid scent, are in large part what make perfumes containing them coveted & highly sought after.
