Item Description Here is a nice Robert Sanders Oil Painting of a two masted warship for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself! Beautiful colors and detailing in this oil painting. The piece is attributed to Robert Sanders, an American artist. He was a listed artist whom was with us from ????? . Signed in the lower right hand side of the oil painting. Nice capture of an British Warship (appears to be by flag, correct me if I am wrong) with it's 16 cannon in position for firing on the high seas. The colors in the piece are still quite vivid. The painting could certainly use a good cleaning. This fine antique oil painting is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a high end auction house or art gallery, as we have been selling clocks out of our home for over 35 years. We can therefore better control our acquisition costs, keep commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don't have the overhead that the higher end houses and art galleries experience . The work is done as oil on canvas. No tears or repairs to the canvas. The oil painting was framed a while ago in a gold gilt wood frame. Some loss to the gold finish, still shows well. No backing paper is no longer on the frame. Unfortunately, no other provenance came with this beautiful oil painting. So we would recommend that you or your agent come to see the piece in person to be the judge of the authenticity of this piece before acquiring.
