At a young age he moved from New York to Puerto Rico with his fisherman cousin who told Lebron about the perils of the sea. Robert Lebron developed his own personal technique during an extensive stay in Spain. Rendering buildings and cityscapes with a palette knife is one quality that distinguishes his work. His paintings continue to reflect his favorite theatrical and literary heroes. Many of the details in his paintings feature favorite characters from his childhood including a tiny dog(present in each painting) inspired by the comic strip, "Dickie Dare." Lebron has been painting professionally for almost forty years and is recognized as an important American impressionist. He has had numerous successful shows and exhibitions and the number of collectors of his work is growing steadily.
