Richard A. Yoder was a gifted and respected artist that specialized in Trompe L’oeil art. He died from cancer in 2014 in Pasco, Washington.He earned a bachelors degree in fine arts in 1974 at the University of Oregon, and would later earn his masters in fine arts at the University of Washington in 1976. He lived in 3 parts of the U.S. during his lifetime in the Pacific Northwest(Oregon,Washington), New York City,& Arizona. The painting up for sale was created during his time in Arizona while taking care of his parents Ray & Nell Yoder. We believe it was painted during the 1990’s. What Richard Yoder has in mind was a painting that looked like a photo. The viewer has to do a double take to make sure it is a painting. The painting is also behind glass and frame.
