Rayo Kerosene Lamp This lamp was aquired at a local estate sale here in the Coos Bay, Oregon, area. These were made by the Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Company of Meriden, CT, for Standard Oil, which sold kerosene. I have never actually used the lamp, but since the wick moves up and down with the wick raiser knob and there are no holes in the bowl, it should work just fine. The latest patent date stamped into the top of the burner is Feb. 28, 1905. I believe this lamp originally came with a removable tripod that sat on top to hold a shade. Except for that, the green felt piece that used to be glued to the bottom, and the missing chimney, it is complete. Some of the old wick is even still present. It does bear several shallow dents in the bowl and a few tiny ones in the pedestal, which certainly will not affect its operation... for when the lights go out. USPS tracked mail shipping is $20 within the United States.
