Vintage 1960s Rawlings Glovolium Baseball Glove Dressing Advertising Tin Oil Can!
Up for auction is a Vintage Rawlings “Glovolium” Baseball Glove Dressing Advertising Tin!
This is a 4 oz. metal oil can (tin) featuring the Rawlings
logo and a classic baseball illustration on its front! This vintage tin is from the 1960s !
The tin bears the Rawlings
logo on both sides and made by “ Rawlings Sporting Goods Co
. St
. Louis
, Mo
. USA
” on the back. The container is still at least half full
with vintage “ Glovolium
” oil inside. The tin can measures about 4” tall x 2⅛” wide x 1” deep (or about 4½” tall to top of cap). It has great advertising graphics in red, white, and blue lithography. As shown in the photos, this vintage container is in very good condition for its age with nice bright colors and sharp details. It does have a little surface wear including very few (if any) light scuffs or scratches, small marks, and possibly a light dent or ding typical for such an old tin container. There is some soiling and surface oxidation on the top, and the bottom is still very shiny with a little light oxidation. The can has its white cap with red nozzle in place. This vintage Rawlings “Glovolium” advertising tin oil can would make a great addition to your collection!
