Rare 1800's A.e. Prentiss Oil

this oil painting is signed but not dated.  However the Metal joint supports on the back are dated 1883-1885.  this has nice wooden frame with some minor damage.  please review the pictures carefully.  this once had paper on the back and that has been removed. UPDATE:  everyone is asking for details regarding the frame.  there are multiple very very faint hairline cracks overall  very hard to see.  the upper right corner has been broke off.  review pics.
