Artist Randall Morgan (New York/Indiana/Italy 1920-1994) was born in Indiana and studied there. He spent most of his adulthood as a modernist artist in New York and Italy painting and teaching. His exhibitions include MoMA and he has sold at Sotheby's and other auction houses. Offered is a 1962 oil on board painting titled "Contraluce Pomeridiana" (into the afternoon light). It is a modern tonalist painting looking out onto the water and cliffs. The painting is in excellent condition, signed lower right, and the frame is approximately 20 x 19 inches.
