Both are in outstanding condition and have been professionally restored with wax onto a newer canvas backing some years ago for stability and repairs some years ago. The original stretchers are present. Overall in outstanding condition with vivid coloring and a very nice attention to detail. Both are housed in mat Ching solid wood antique plaster decorated frames In very good lightly aged condition with very minor wear. Very Light in-painting to the portraits. Both paintings are of equal (medium to larger) size and would be perfect focal points in a room of your  historical estate. These portraits were reportedly found in a Maryland estate though they appear to be of English origin and their exact location is unknown. Overall size :23 1/2 inches X 29 3/4 inches tall.
