MELLING OIL PUMPS
This item is for an USA-made Melling High Pressure (stock volume) oil pump and a Melling oil pump drive rod for SOME 1958-1992 Chevrolet small block V-8 engines; will not fit 1964-1967 Chevy II/Nova oil pans. P/N M55A + IS-55E.
This oil pump provides a 10-15 PSI oil pressure increase over a stock oil pump and has the same fitment as a Melling M-55 oil pump. This oil pump will not cure a low oil pressure problem in a worn engine.
The oil pump drive rod has the steel sleeve manufactured on the shaft; which eliminates the need to use the nylon shaft guide.
Feel to message us with fitment questions. This kit only fits Chevrolet designed engines and will not fit similar size engines manufactured by other GM divisions; e.g. Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac.
All of Melling's oil pumps are built using a proprietary casting process, which yields maximum performance and reliability. Every Melling oil pump is completely pressure tested, including idle and bypass pressure, before it leaves the Melling factory. FITMENT INCLUDES
