All oils, including new oils, are affected by water. Water in oil has no lubrication and causes stiction/overall loss of productivity. Dissolved water molecules actively seek other molecules, including metals, additives, antioxidants, friction modifiers, and anti-wear additives. Water will come out of suspension and form white gummy masses in various areas of the unit that cannot be flushed. Any oil with water exceeding 300 PPM is corrosive leading to rust, hydrolysis, and sludge. Emulsified water can cause oil to behave unexpectedly, and can cause clogged filters, and increased oil acidity.

INSTRUCTIONS Determine the total oil capacity of the wet system (including tank, hoses, valves, etc.). 1. IN EQUIPMENT WITH CLEAN OIL (NO MILKY / EMULSIFIED OIL DETECTED): ADD 1% of OIL FIX of the total wet system capacity. 2. IF MILKY / EMULSIFIED OIL IS DETECTED: ADD 3% of OIL FIX of the total wet system capacity. Run & mix thoroughly until oil is clear. Drain oil system and replace with new oil. To extend the life of the new oil, add up to 1% of OIL FIX (see STEP 1)*. 3. OIL HAS BEEN CHANGED BUT MILKY / EMULSIFIED OIL IS STILL DETECTED: ADD 3% of OIL FIX of the total wet system capacity. Run & mix thoroughly until oil is clear. Results will improve over time. * AT ANY TIME, DO NOT LET THE AMOUNT OF MIB HYDRAULIC OIL FIX & STABILIZER IN THE ENTIRE SYSTEM EXCEED 3% OF THE TOTAL SYSTEM CAPACITY
