I finished [Night Vision] in 2015 and later decided to create the second painting to see where I would take the idea. Night Vision 2025 and then Dawn Is Coming 2017. Full disclosure: >>>>>> Dawn Is Coming ... is painted over a print of the original painting Night Vision.  It was an experiment to see if starting off with the same content would help the process in taking the image to a new level... ultimately, I think having all the lines and shapes in the right place is not a help but more of a slow down. But the two paintings are complementary. Night Vision prophecies a coming time of darkness and troubles while Dawn is Coming is in anticipation of mornings certainty .  The theme has been a personal one and also reflex a universal theme for anyone who is watching. <<<<<< I did use a clear gesso (no Pigment) over the print before painting with oils... the gesso makes a translucent matte surface which accepts oil pigments well. There is a Krylon artist quality matte varnish spray over both paintings. A thin coat. . One reason this might be considered rare... is timing In every artist career there are times when you must work-through the processes. You may have gone to school and watched professionals but pouring out your soul comes at a price of experience which take time and time and time. :)) Night Vision especially was a big part of working out the processes. I've used snippets from this image as inspiration for several other paintings and digital art too. . . However, times are changing, and so is the way I paint now. Selling these is more about clearing my pallet you might say.  A need to separate from the old ways and moving into the new ways. It's a time of renewal and so I must let go of the past artworks and stretch out a little more. ------  About the price ------ I set the price hoping to get the attention of either a serious collector or an art-shop-reseller or who knows. I think the execution is at a professional enough level to bring several thousand for these. It is a emotional driver. Popping colors, drama, spiritual, and maybe even prophetic.
