GReddy Large Oil Pan Nissan Skyline (RB26DETT) 89-02 We installed the product to use it in the RB26 engine I had just purchased, and had to disassemble it again without using it on the vehicle because it was too low on my Nissan S14 Silvia. Functional as a secondary oil cooler, GReddy high-capacity Oil Pans, maintain more constant oil temperatures via increased volume of oil and the improved cooling efficiency of the thick-walled cast aluminum construction. They also include specially designed interiors to keep the oil at the oil pump pick-up for engine reliability. When the vehicle is on the corner or the time of acceleration and deceleration, oil in the oil pan will lean or jump. To prevent these to happen, a baffle is assembled in the pan of stock engine. Though, in terms of sports driving, it is almost impossible to achieve its purpose because the size of the baffle is restricted to cut down the production cost. If oil flows to one sidey, air goes into the pipe instead of oil and interrupts the continuous oil lubrication. Without oil, metal surfaces will contact directly with each other, then the temperature rises, causing wear.
