Fresh from an estate sale, these fabulous mid century black velvet art in Rembrandt style works of the c. 1650 "Man with a Golden Helmet" & the c. 1655 "Man in Armor" wall hanging oil paintings! These beauties are the bees knees of mid century decor! Though it has since been disputed as to whether Rembrandt did indeed paint the Man with a Golden Helmet, these 1960's or 1970's velvet replicas are in wonderful rich muted oil paint colors that highlight the raised paint details on these amazing warriors, possibly conquistadors on black velvet! Each framed in a triple ridge thick dark wooden frame and have metal saw-tooth hangers on the back of each to hang with ease and offer instant decorating. These treasures are perfect for any room of the house and a swell new addition to your MCM home! * Due to combined weight, we have added several couriers to save on shipping costs. Paintings are in excellent condition! No rips, tears or holes! The usual tiny pre-loved wear to velvet and a scuff or two to frames from years of
adding glam to Frank's swanky rumpus room, but nothing that distracts from these
treasures of kitsch decor history! Both paintings could use a light lint rolling to remove any dust, but we will leave that task for the new owners, if desired.
