Fiddes Dark Teak Oil

FIDDES TEAK OIL Dark Fiddes Teak Oil is high quality natural oil that can be used to give a soft sheen to interior or exterior woodwork. This easy to use oil based finish is formulated for exotic woods such as Teak, Rosewood and Mahogany. It penetrates deep into the grain, which creates the deep, warm sheen of a hand-applied finish. This protects against spills, abrasion and chipping. It is therefore ideal for kitchen and bathroom units, indoor and outdoor furniture, architectural woodwork, carvings and turned items. Fiddes Teak Oil comes blended in Clear Ext. or Interior, Nantucket Blend and Dark. All blends are very water resistant. The Nantucket Blend has a light amber colour particularly suitable for indoor or outdoor furniture, wonderful for disguising minor scratches and toning up all types of furniture and woodwork. Our blend is true polymerising oil that is ideally suited for interior or exterior woodwork and furniture. Clear interior is super for maintaining new Teak, Danish, Scandinavian and many oriental pieces where finish maintenance is a concern. Dark is useful where the wood tone is very dark and/or scratch disguising is desired. DIRECTIONS FOR USE v Shake the container before use. Ensure that the surface to be treated is both clean and dry. If the interior surface has been previously oiled or waxed, clean thoroughly. Hard finishes such as varnish or paints must be completely removed. v Brush or rag on a coat of Fiddes Teak Oil, allow 15 – 20 minutes for the oil to penetrate and wipe off any excess product with a clean cloth. New wood will require two or three coats. v Drying time is approximately 4 – 5 hours depending on conditions. v For best results use Fiddes 0000 Super Fine Steel Wool to lightly rub down between coats. v Although Fiddes Teak Oil is a suitable finish in its own right, it is also suitable as a base for wax finishes, for best results use the Fiddes Supreme Range Wax Polish for interior work. v Exterior woodwork will require re-oiling once a year.
