Pair of small paintings by the listed Mexican artist, Fernando Guzman Monroy, who was working in the 1960's and 70's. The wood panels are 4 3/8" x 7 7/8", framed 9" x 12 1/2", in excellent condition. Both are signed with his pseudonym "Fegumon" and dated 1972. The inner frames are gold leaf mounted on thin frames of what looks like Rosewood or walnut. It looks like he painted over gesso mottling with surrealist images of buildings and figures. Ready to hang, really nice works, can't find any info on the artist. Well packed.
