GP-1 delivers maximum engine protection by utilizing Driven’s High Zinc (ZDDP) additive technology. I've started with using Driven BR40 break in oil on an LS type engine I recently built then changed to XP7. Driven's technical support was very helpful when I reached out to them to see if the next step would be to go to full synthetic XP9 after full break in of the engine. Their advice was to stay with XP7 or GP1 types since I do street drive my vehicle on occasion for long distances. I'm now using the GP1 type and very happy with it and all the products I've used from them. I highly recommend their products.

I had my motor rebuilt and since achieving the first 500 miles I can say that there is no reason for disappointment. Then again, its hard to rate the oil until I fully break-in my motor and get a new tune. Afterward, I will see if all the claims of protection, lower temp, and performance attributes can be discovered.
