Passed away of Pancreatic Cancer at the age of 88 in Santa Monica on March 1, 2013. Charles was born on February 10, 1925 in Los Angeles, California to Charles A. Clifford, Sr. from Missouri and Myrtle Roe Clifford from Tennessee. He was an undergraduate at the University of Southern CA and graduated at Stanford School of Medicine in 1945. He was an intern at Los Angeles County General Hospital from 1948-1950, a resident in General Surgery in 1955 and a resident in plastic surgery from 1957-1959 at UCLA and trained in Plastic Surgery in Uppsala Sweden and London, England. Charles was a Captain in the Medical Corp of the United States Air force from 1951-1953, Instructor on the Clinical Staff at UCLA, a member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery and a member of the staff of St. John Medical Center in Santa Monica. Charles was an avid painter and sculptor.
