Beautiful Miniature Oil Can dated February 18, 1898. I think this type is referred to as thumb press and was used long ago to oil rifles. The oil can is 3 1/2 inches tall, without the stopper, it’s 2 inches. The date is legible on the bottom and I’m thinking someone had it engraved. It is a lovely piece with some slight dings and scratches, that add to its beauty.
