Autumn - Signed Adelbert (peter) Raymond Drew Oil

This painting "Autumn"  was purchased and resides in Iowa, where  Adelbert ("Peter") Raymond Drew was born.  The California Impressionist Coastal Landscape Painter, (1884 - 1967).   This is oil on masonite panel. Mounted in a gold Arts and Crafts style frame.  Signed, lower right "PRD".  Very nice composition, painted with loose impressionist brush strokes and beautiful colors.  Peter Raymond Drew is a well-known California artist and often signed his smaller works with his initials.  This is a fine and very attractive example of his work. AGECirca 1940's. SIZEPainting - 12 1/2" / Frame - 10 1/2" CONDITION Good condition, as shown in the photos and with the following noted: No damage or restoration noted. No in-painting. Reverse has original backing - however it is brittle, but intact - see pictures for details.  Surface is fairly clean and could use only a light cleaning, if desired. Displays nicely just as it is.  The frame is in good condition with light overall wear.  Peter Raymond Drew (1884 - 1967).  Adelbert ("Peter") Raymond Drew was born in Iowa on November 24, 1884. He was a resident of Los Angeles by 1916. He painted landscapes of the surrounding area, the coast near Santa Barbara, the desert at Palm Springs, and the Sierra Nevada
