Although little biographical information is known Vial has achieved much commercial success in Europe, tending to focus on picturesque mountain scenes from around Chile. The impressionistic style and warm color palette gives the artwork a romantic feel. The subtle impasto and panoramic composition are visual traits popular with early 20th Century artists.
