Antique The Charles Parker Oil

Another item from Country Artifacts, Great Northern Liquidation, Springfield, Vermont.

Marked The Parker Lamp on the neck of the font as shown.  The fount cap should also say Parker, but the one that's with it is not original.

The spider has one arm that needs soldering.

The center draft burner mechanism is in working order and has a new wick.

The chimney holder arms are loose and need soldering.  Chimney not included.

The fount looks good but wasn't tested for leaks.

The nickel plating on the upper and lower formed metalwork (above the cast iron base) is in good condition.

The hand painted glass is good on the lower part, and features a castle scene on two sides.  The shade is milk glass, but the painted scene that matches the lower part is peeling in all places, and the paint is quite delicate.  I expect the loose bits to fall off between this time and when you receive the lamp, mainly from what it takes to safely pack the lamp for shipment.

The base is cast iron and has lost most of its original finish, and is quite rusty as shown (normal surface rust that will clean off as normal).

Aside from the above, you will just find normal signs of age and previous use.  Please see the pictures for more details.  This lamp is sold with the understanding that it needs attention to the items mentioned above to make it as good as it could be.
