Antique Rare 19th Century Portrait Painting by Emanuel Leutze

A Stunning RARE Portrait painting of a Historical Gentleman in 17th century attire by an extremely famous and popular 19th century American history painter Emanuel Leutze (1816-1868) Leutze is most famously known for the classic image of Washington Crossing the Delaware (1850) a version of which sold at auction in 2022 for $45,045,000.00! Several other History paintings by him have reached the $1 Million mark! Earlier in his painting career he made copies of Old Master Paintings and made many studies after them. this work probably dates to the 1830s-40s. The painting is signed lower right, This painting is incredible in detail and could easily be mistaken for a Van Dyke!
