Lovely romantic portrait on canvas dating to the early 1800s. The proper young lady pictured has very expressive blue eyes that captivate the viewer. Well executed picture with fine detail. Initialed middle left margin. Painting is in good condition with stable craquelure, but would benefit from a cleaning. Replacement frame has some wear. Measures 10.25” x 8.25” to ends of frame. Canvas 8.5” x 6.5”.
