You are viewing a gorgeous Victorian French milk glass duplex oil lamp from the early 1900's. It features a painted milk glass base with hand painted flowers and a puffy center font with dimensional draped swags, hand painted tassels and a dimensional quilted pattern. The base has a pontil scar. The lamp is a combination of white, pink and tan, with multi colored flowers. The shade is a white milk glass student tam-o-shanter style that measures 6" high and has a 7 3/8" outer diameter fitter. It measures 8.5" at its widest point. It has a Kosmos Brenner burner with a 1 7/8" clean wick and an attached shade holder. The entire lamp with shade measures 19.5" high. This lamp is in very good pre-owned condition and clean, with no oil or dirt inside or outside. There are no chips or cracks, and the paint is well represented. The ring that holds the glass shade is old and a bit wobbly and has some epoxy that is holding the 3 arms in place. It does hold the shade, but it just needs a little adjusting once the shade is in place. The burner has a clean wick. There is no glass chimney.
