This oil pan did sit outside in the weather. There is no severe rust, but there is surface rust. The drain plug hole does have some rust on the threads, but the plug does go in freely. There is also a dent in the sump that is pictured. This part was removed from a running 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 5.9L Cummins 24 valve diesel. It will fit many other years and models with a similar engine. Examine the pictures carefully to make sure this part will work in your application.
