The Claud Hamilton was built in 1900 under James Holden’s patent per a GER (Great Eastern
Railway) order. Holden came from Quaker stock and was noted for hie economical
designs. It was the largest express locomotive on the GER. It had 7’ driving
wheels and a large round-topped 4’-9” boiler, winning it a gold medal at the
1900 Paris Exhibition! This 5.5” X 7.5” oil painting on card stock is painted
with amazing detail almost to the point that your first viewing will lean
towards the thought, is this a photograph? Believe me it’s not! It's
indistinctly signed of which I’ve shown (2) views of the signature at the end. -------Please read the following before bidding------- 1, SHIPPING IS A GUESS, SO PLEASE DON’T PAY UNTIL I SEND
